hytchU – Created by a Parent, Built for Students
hytchU was born out of one father's concern for his daughter in college. Like many parents, he worried about her safety, the high costs of traditional rideshare apps, and the challenge students face in coordinating long-distance travel—whether heading home, visiting other campuses, or planning spring break trips.
After searching for reliable solutions and finding none that prioritized student safety, affordability, and community, he set out to build one. hytchU is the result: a private, student-only platform that enables college students to connect, communicate, and arrange rides in a secure, trusted environment.
Through student verification, built-in ride tracking, and community tools, hytchU empowers young adults to travel smarter while building stronger connections on campus and beyond. It’s not just about getting from point A to B—it’s about making the journey safer, more affordable, and part of the student experience.
